Melody Smith continues to dazzle me with her timeless, elegant designs. Her efficient use of space, particularly in kitchens and baths, coupled with her interesting color palettes, create a restful and relaxing backdrop which every member of the family can appreciate. If you've never visited the annually inspiring Palm Beach Red Cross Show Houses, do yourself a favor and go. It's no wonder year after year they continue to invite Melody to be a guest designer...she outdoes herself in curiously challenging venues. I took a chance being from Nashville, Tn and picked Melody from her website to give me some ideas for our condo in Jupiter, Florida. I wanted a professional eye to weigh in after I had already chosen many furniture basics. We had a very congenial relationship from the start and ended up doing far more to give our space a custom feel. We couldn't be happier. Melody is a pleasure and has become more than a decorator. Melody created a master bathroom that reflected my tastes and elevated them to a level sophistication that was beyond my imagination. She was able to keep the project within my budget limitations, smartly spotting where I could splurge - a lightweight freestanding tub - and where it was not necessary to do so - a simple line of black tile to make the subway tile pop added polish without extravagant expense. My favorite touch - an unexpected light fixture that gave the room a sense of our artistic character. I would never have found or even thought of this twist if she hadn't discovered it - and still it was up to me. She included it among three fixture possibilities. We were in sync.
